How to bring snap back to older SAKS? (without dismantling)

I have an 1970s Spartan that has very little if any snap, what would be suggestions for bringing the snap back short of taking it all apart? I would rather not send it out to a factory it has sentimental value

A very thorough clean and oil will do it the world of good! Not a quick process to get the best from it though. Make sure to work oil in on the backsprings as well, not just on the pivots. Sometimes it's gunk between the springs and liners that can be taking some of the life out of it. If there's any corrosion on the liners, it will take plenty of working through to clear as much as is possible.

If you have any means to give it an ultrasonic bath with a tooth protesis cleaning pill you'll get gunk right out.
Then a WD40 shower and some "yoga" excersice all tools for many cycles. Back to the ultrasonic bath to get new gunk and corrosion rests out.
Dry with compressed air and a little mineral oil and snap is back.

I just went through this with an old cross Pioneer. I gave it a thorough cleaning with degreaser and then doused it liberally with WD-40 and worked the blade and tools opened and closed an bunch of times. The blade was still hanging up a bit on something so I made a slurry of red polishing compound and WD40 and worked it into the pivot of the blade. I repeated the open and closed step then cleaned and oiled it again and the snap came back almost like new.
