I tried to order one and every time I tried to check out and hit continue it would just route me back to the begining of the check out process. Did it 5 times. Smurf you West Marine.  :crash:

I made a account and got through to place the order. Its weird though. West marine does not have any order information in my account yet my bank account has been charged.

Maybe it just takes a little while.

Does anyone have one of these? How are they?
I knew my wife was a keeper when she transitioned from calling it a knife thingy to a multi-tool.

How do you go about getting parts to customize one?

LOL.

My very first serious bike,as an adult, was a Nishiki.I don't talk about it because I owned it for such a short time.I really didn't like it and succeeded in trading it to a friend, who owned a Gold's gym,for a membership.

I then bought my first Trek, which began a 30 year relationship with Trek bicycles.

I'm not super well versed on SOG's tools and the name is throwing me off...
Is this a Pocket Powerplier?

It is. There are two versions of PPP, one with an awl and a spacer, and one has 1/4" drive instead.

Mine is customized of course.

Thanks, Kampf. I was considering making a purchase of one after Christmas, but at this price I had to grab one now. I'll have to get some scissors and make myself a workplace friendly bladeless mod.
If I can trouble you with one more question; this is the appropriate accessory set, yes?

Indeed it is. The socket goes over the 1/4" drive then insert a bit from the kit.

Without the 1/4" drive the kit is useless.

I could only get scissors directly from SOG, cost almost as much as I spent on the PPP

If you ordered from West Marine they are out of stock, but are still taking orders. They do not have any to send unless a store near by has some which I doubt. Same thing just happened to me. They charged my card, but I did not get any confirmation or order history online.

I got an email confirmation, and the order appears in my history. Guess I'll have to wait and see what happens.

WTF!

I just talked to them on the phone yesterday and I was told they were completely wiped out and had zero stock.

Sounds like they might have it if you got a confirmation and it shows in your order history. Hope they deliver it to you.  :tu:

Indeed, it turns out they have none in stock, and don't expect any more to come in.
I got another email informing me the item is unavailable. Guess they don't keep up with their website  :-\
