I modded my Sunroad

The words Grathr, modding, knife and glue usually spell disaster. So I am a bit surprised that this seems to turn out to be an improvement.

I recently got my self a Sunroad digital watch that was surprisingly good, but a bit ugly and too thick.
It looked like this:



So what I did, was  remove the bessel (?) with a knife. It was disturbingly easy. (Not the most solid construction) then I cut it up to keep the top and bottom part, and glued them back into place.

IMO it looks better now, in a ratty kind of way,  and is a few mm thinner.

That would have been too easy.
I have been considering getting the fancier model. (Suunto core look alike) but a 5cm diameter is a bit on the big side for my wrists.

the larger model basically has the same functions, at about double the price. I like the fact that this cheap model does exactly the same as the more expensive model, and does not feel like it needs to look like a suunto..

I have been struggling with the pedometer on mine. It seems to stop and reset if I switch to any other mode. Have you got the same problem?
