Hiodro's December challenge: surge
on: December 01, 2015, 01:18:19 AM
I live in Maine so its technically still November but I'm going off the clock on the website and tomorrow will be very busy so lets get going. I love my surge and will happily answer questions about it. My entry picture had batman so I might keep that theme going I haven't decided. So here is my picture for December first of the surge challenge:
I have a Leatherman surge, rebar, wave, and a super tool 300. I can also solve 3x3x3, 2x2x2, and 2x2x4 rubix cubes.

So today for me it is finally December 1st, 8:30pm, I'm sitting at the college library doing homework. Nothing fun to do with my surge today. It's even worse than normal because it is the first day of the challenge. :ahhh: :ahhh: :ahhh: :ahhh: :ahhh: :ahhh: :ahhh: :ahhh: :ahhh:
Anyway I'm one step closer to making it through this challenge.
BTW if someone can tell me if I should just go by local times, I don't know if I should use the websites time or just local time.

Didn't think of this.

I am just going by local time but I do live in the US so I might be ok.

I'm in Maine, but the website is 6 hours ahead of me so I'm getting confused. I really don't expect Obi to get too up tight about it, I'm sure he will understand the confusion of time zones.

So today I had a project due for biology lab, I lost my normal scissors so I actually needed my surge. I finished it within the hour time block I had. The surge saved my day and got some picture for the challenge. December 2nd here and post for December third on site time. First picture is start, next is mid way through, final is once I finished.

So today I started out by using my surge to sharpen a pencil. Yeah big job for the surge right?
Went into chemistry lab and used it to grab a hot beaker but then the beaker cracked from the temperature changes.
I had to stop and clean up the glass so I couldn't get pictures of it, sorry guys. I did get a well focused picture of my surge next to the pencil though, hopefully I will have some adventures coming up so that I can get nice pictures.
Yeah bigger scissors would have been nice on the poster NKlamerus, found them when I got out the glue... :/

Did you put it back together after the defeat?  Or leave it in a pile? :)

In reality I just solved it but I have taken them apart ill add a picture of the pieces. FYI the new ones are not supposed to come apart they will permanently break.

Ha, good to know.  Glad you solved it the old fashioned way, as much fun as it'd be to use the surge :)

Here is what happens when you use your surge to fix a rubix cube, please don't try this at home without watching a video to go along. You might break the cube. Good luck with your own cube.

Nice!  I had it down under a minute at one time, I'm sure I'm off that pace now though...

Took me a while to get there but it's very nice once you can sat that.
Do you know if every post for the surge challenge has to have a picture or just a post everyday?

Once I announce the merit badge it will be a pic everyday, until then it isn't necessary.

My surge, 90 percent of the time I have that. Before that it was super tool 300 while at work (couldn't carry at school due to 3 inch knife)

So I brought my surge with me to the pool today and thought about going swimming with it in my pocket. Two things stopped me, chlorinated water would probably ruin it and I didn't feel like drowning or going in circles. This post is for December 7th, one week down WOOH. Picture count now at 13.
