Day 25:

I was trying to practice making a spoon with only hand tools in a piece of scrap wood. I was using a combo of saw(not the Surge), small axe, and box cutter. The blade in the utility knife I replaced a few days ago, broke in two as I was making some shavings. Used the Surge to put in a new blade and it worked much better since I paid more attention to the angles and knots.

Day 27:

I wanted to take apart this guitar pedal, it's very flimsy. The rubber padding fell off the bottom, build quality doesn't compare to the Boss that it's copying.

Congrats on the badge mate.      However I am pretty sure we would all like to see a day 31 pic to cap it off.   :pok:   ;)

Certainly!

There is the 30 day badge and the separate December Challenge. I will post a photo tomorrow and also my thoughts on using and carrying the Surge for this whole month.

Day 31:

Looking forward to the New Year!

Surge challenge has been fun, mostly all positives. There were a few times I missed the spring action of the Wingman when doing repetitive tasks but the Surge cutter and pliers head is so much better. Also the pliers on my Surge open and close stiffer than on my Supertool 300. This makes repetitive tasks involving the pliers harder than it needs to be. The stiffness could be a simple matter of breaking it in. Going to look forward to carrying my Wingman again because I still favor it for edc. I used the Surge a bunch and in many scenarios where it was hard to photograph. The most often used implement despite the photographic evidence was the scissors. I also used the file for my fingernail, which I didn't photograph. I am thinking of making a chisel that fits in the jigsaw blade holder, that would be cool and useful for me.
