I'm not sure how to answer that. I love and hate it. Won't really know better until next year when I can start using it.

I like them. Just keep in mind, it is not a heavy weight. Puts me in mind of a SAK but with better pliers. Great for small stuff. I will say, I was a bit surprised on how big of bolts and nuts it can turn.

After the kids both smashed me in ludo and snakes n ladders we went back out to work on the slingshots.

Unfortunately the camera battery was flat so no pics of us cutting them to size and removing all the bark.

Today was long.
Almost got through the whole days work without using the Surge.
That was until our last client got into grief while floating one of their expensive horses.

Hearing the commotion I knew instantly something was wrong.
The horse had a leg over the divider and had the lead rope caught.
While the owner yelled for someone to get a knife and hammer I walked forward, drew the Surge and deployed the pliers.

Trusting the horse wouldn't kick off on me I quickly released the lead rope, pulled two clips, bumped out the pins and dropped the divider.
It backed out slowly with no drama.
I reinstalled the bar, sent the horse on and called it a day.

I'm a city slicker, so I had to google what "floating" a horse meant. I imagined it crossing a river.
