Day twenty-nine.

Alright, another pretty easy day at work today, only four and a half hours. I've also been told that I'll be working from 6pm New Years Eve through the morning of New Years Day, but it'll be a whole lot of waiting and only a little bit of work. That only leaves tomorrow. I have to admit I'll actually be a bit disappointed if tomorrow isn't a tough day.

Today the truck driver I was offsiding for and I had a bit of a wait for the council guys to turn up and tell us what to do with the stuff we were delivering, so I took a moment to take in the view. You can't see it (I continue my trend of garbage photography) but out on the water, in the middle of the "eye" of the Dungeon Crawler is a ferry on its way out to the Harbour. This is facing North from Clyne Reserve, the Harbour Bridge is out to the East and that ferry probably went under it soon after I took this photo.

Day thirty.

Finally did some real work today. I was erecting temporary fencing from 5am until 1:30pm. I even got to drive one of the big work utes.

Dungeon Crawler chomped the ends off many cable ties and cut off the ends of the rolls of shade cloth going on the fences. I also used the pliers to snap some cable ties holding outdated signs on some of the fence panels because I couldn't get the cutters around them because they were done up tight (not pictured).

A good day.

Taking the opportunity to clean up the workshop a bit before I go to work this evening.

Not an easy task when the place is a complete and utter mess, but the problem is that I haven't been in the place for long enough to establish a place for everything anything yet. It makes it a self perpetuating struggle.

There may be another picture in the early hours of tomorrow morning. I'm working very close to the fireworks.

No bonus picture from last night, however I feel I need to wrap this up.

Doing this challenge has been fun. It hasn't changed my opinion of the Surge because I carry it all the time anyway, but sharing has been good.

Discovering that carrying the Surge with suit pants is no big deal was good, I wouldn't have done that otherwise. Normally when I have to pocket or waistband carry, I use my Wave.

So there we go. It was a great month. Thanks to everyone who read my ramblings and thanks to everyone who entered the challenge alongside me.

Yah!  The Double Blacktip (DBT) You may be a trend setter! :tu: I suppose you will have to have one with all outside opening parts with the spare parts...

Yeah I will pass on an outside opening blacktip. One of those handles was bad enough, two would be smurf. YMMV.

Maybe I'll just have to call it the Doubleback.

I declare this thread derailed!  >:D
