Spyderco makes some Emerson opening knives also. If you are worried about for and finish of the Kershaws.

If you are worried about for and finish of the Kershaws.Dont forget the "ghetto wave" feature you can add to most Spydercos. Add a zip tie around the top of the hole, and presto! Waved Spyderco. You can also cut a chunk out so the spyderhole is partially open, and use that as a wave opener
The problem i have with any "wave" is that it is only useful when you are in standing, ready position. If someone jumped you from behind, pushed you down, unlikey you can wave it out.
