Holidays means less SAK more full size Multitools, bigger knives and lots of outdoor activity in the Southern Hemisphere.

Bring it on!

Now I'm wondering... should I spend the Christmas Eve & Christmas day using only my new Solo .. We'll be in a remotish area, so how about I try to use only the new knife  I may have a back-up in my backpack, though...

Back ups are a must.  Yes carry and attempt to use your new Solo only.

Any traditional foods for Christmas being served?

Definetely :D I just don't know how to call them in English :D

On the day before Christmas traditionally we eat no animal fat (some people do it for longer, but we're far from religious)

- Sarmi ( rice + various ingredients wrapped in sauerkraut leaves and boiled)
- Beans soup
- Pumpkin pie kinda thingie
- certain type of spread made of ground walnuts, garlic, salt & vegetable oil
- home-made bread
- "juice" made of boiled dried fruit (plums, apricots, apples, pears, raisins, whatever you have)

As for Christmas .... not really, whatever special meal my family thinks of, lol. Either steaks & lots of other yummy things or turkey and lots of yummy things :D

- I have a Pioneer.
- I have a Cadet.
- I didn't want additional tools and stuff as I mostly use my knives to cut food and food gets to stick in all sorts of places with SAKs i.e. just wanted a ... Swiss Army Folder :D
- It's relatively cheaper than a lot of them, but that's not the first reason
- I don't have a lot of choice here, in BG, lol. And wasn't ready to wait for international shipping or pay twice more for some cooler alox from abroad...

:D

Solo down here is legendary as biltong knives; they make great blade partners to 58mm Classic or Minichamp Alox.

haha, my sister's family used to have a couple of small businesses there that many years ago, selling silver Kelley jewelry and then various car accessories. So she invited me there for my summer school holiday :D it was great experience for me.
