Thanks RR.

This is a favorite of some old deer hunters, the Buck 118 Personal.

The top two are current production with the rosewood being made with 5160 steel.

The bottom knife is a two-line,reverse stamp with flap over sheath, which dates it to 1968-1972.

The top knife is known as the 117 Brahma and has been discontinued.

The bottom two are known as the Model 117 and are special runs offered by one dealer. It is a 75% representation of the famous Buck 119 Special. The rosewood handle model is made from 5160 steel.

The Buck factory does not offer this knife.

Nice Bucks TG. :hatsoff:
A smaller 119 would be a nice size.
Always thought that a 5160 blade with the standard handle and guard would be a good combo.

Thank you men.

I really like the Buck 117,it's the perfect size for a hunting knife.

I was talking to some friends about the difference between the older Buck 121 Fisherman and the newer ones.

The grind and length are the same but the width of the blades are very different. The old knives had a much thinner blade and could be flexed but that's not possible with the newer 121's.

Here  is the difference.

Unfortunately these knives have been abandon by Buck, in favor of more modern designs. >:(

Nice collection LP.

 Very cool 112 RR.

Here is something very different from Buck.A few of Buck's entries into the multi-tool market.
