Need some detailed pics
on: November 23, 2015, 02:09:26 PM
I need some detailed pics of the gerber mp 650. Specifically the way it locks into the frame. I hope to build a 400 model with the interchangeable heads. Should be fun. Measures are helpful too. Thanks
If I remember correctly, wait, what was I saying?

Just an Idea - I still need to send you the Wenger file layer. If you want, I can put in my MP 650 as your research example - You can send it back when you are done with your project. It is no user and i know it is in good hands at your place.

That would work! All I need to know is if I can scale it down to fit a mp400. No parts will be removed. I plan to make my own.

Thomas, is your MP650 the "military" version (with a spring between the handles) or the "civilian" version (no spring) ?

The clips for the plier heads on the "civilian" version are quite weak and break easily, while the "military" version clips seem to be a lot more robust.

These will be on another model , 400 , so style doesn't matter as I will be making my own :). Just need to see the details on how it works.
@lowtech
I still have some parts for you that I owe you. When I return your multi they will be in there too :)

I think it will. It's just a matter of sizing things down I hope.
