I have several "cleanskin" Minis, most have no handle markings at all, a couple have promotional markings/logos on the handle ( "Hoechst-Roussel Agri-Vet Co" & "Paramins"); and one has "Hoffritz" etched on the blade.

The cleanskin Mini seem to be the least common variant, particularly in recent times.

Here is am MTo thread with some info about the variations:
https://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,48234.0.html

There is some material (photo in a catalogue) around from the company that assembled the PST in Japan that they were intending to make Minis in Japan as well, but I am not aware of any concrete evidence (ie actual tools) that they actually did produce any.  Even if I did see one I'd need some strong convincing that it wasn't just a regular cleanskin Mini that had JPST pliers swapped in.

Thanks David :tu:

Great link as well Greg :like: I knew I had read that somewhere :tu: :like: Seems like there is another thread that loki-mobile started as well and had one of the cleanskins as well  :tu:

Hey guys, sorry for getting off topic, it will take a minute :D... I was wondering if the Mini and Micra parts are interchangeable?...Is there any mods that can be done to the Mini Tool?

Did you finally pick up a Mini, or did you already have one?  I know we talked about trading, wasn’t sure if you had one at that time...

Yes, already did!  :tu: Purchased one few days ago from another cool MTO member who gave me a great deal. If you're a fan of LM multi-tools, you must own a Mini :D  Now I just need the little nylon sheath in case you have a spare one for sale?

I'm using a small Schrade nylon sheath purchased on eBay for $3 but removed the extremely large SCHRADE TOUGH label off the flap cover  :D

There is also a leather box sheath made specially for the Mini Tool with LM marks on the cover but I don't see them at all, only in a YouTube video.

Yes! :tu:  That's the one I'm talking about, the video is in German but it shows the mini sheath.

Looks nice but I can't stand sheaths that don't have a belt loop. This one has the two slits for your belt to go through instead of a loop :(

I’m not sure that is an actual Leatherman sheath, but rather made to look like one.

I think it's real. They also made one for the PST and Flair that looks the same called the deluxe sheath, I used to have one.

There's one in Amazon for the Micra & Squirt, nice little leather sheath but a bit pricey. Not sure if the Mini will fit since it's about 1/8" thicker. https://www.amazon.com/Tuff-Luv-Western-Genuine-Leatherman-Multi-tool/dp/B01K21D64I/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1523029136&sr=8-1&keywords=Leatherman+Micra+sheath
