My current EDC
on: January 01, 2016, 04:32:07 PM
Hi guys!

I just wanted to show you my current EDC. It is winter now, so I use to wear a jacket or a vest, depending on the weather. I work in an office environment but sometimes I have to go out to get my job/work done. I like to be prepared. I carried a LM ST300 for the last half a year in combination with a traditional folder as my EDC loadout. But now I changed it.

In my pocket is a
- Vic Small Tinker (the Redneck engraving was some kind personalising)
- Kraftmax flashlight
- Lipbalm and a can of snuff (nasal tobacco)
- Böker Plus Pocket Bowie
- keys with the CRKT KERT I won here on a GA
- wallet

The Vic Super Tinker Plus is in my jacket or my vest.

I don´t like mobile phones, so I don´t carry them. I use to carry a fixed blade frequently, mostly pocketable FBs. But I also like the option there. Like the Böker Pocket Bowie or a Jagdnicker (traditional bavarian pattern) but I also like a ESEE 3 on my belt or an IZULA in my pocket.

For my main-EDC knife I prefer mostly 3.5 to 4.0 inch knives. Which covers most of the Vics and Wengers as well as most of the tradtional stuff.

For the flashlight I decided to go with such a small one as I wanted it as some kind of disposal. But it works so fine for me and almost for the last two years that I hardly keep it at home. Great little tool.

The lipbalm is due to the season and the snuff is an addiction I can´t stop since I quitted smoking more than two years ago.

Just wanted to share this stuff here.  :)

Nice EDC.  Why the change from the LM ST300?  Was it not getting much use?  I like the Boker fixed blade.  Nice size and stout enough to handle bigger tasks.

I changed the LM ST300  because I wanted something different  :D :D
Honestly, I liked the ST300 very much. But it was a heavy brute nonetheless. And I have a ton of other steel that needs carrying.

But this setup seems to fit rather nice.

More than enough reasons.  I've been forcing myself to carry ignored gear and it's been a blast.  My ST300 sits at home most day but just today I carried it and while beastly its such a great tool.
