Buck Web Specials.

The Buck knife website has a relatively new section titled "web specials". This section lists knives with which Buck are overstocked and also lists discontinued knives referred to as "buildout".Their price on some of these specials is extraordinary.

For instance their Waterfowl Buildout normally retails for $100.00 but sells for $40.00 and their EgroHunter Caping Knife regularly sells for $68.00 but their web special lists this at $15.00.

I've bought several knives since discovering this on Buck's website.The boning knife and the waterfowler are winging their way to our residence as I write this.

Here are two of the web specials that arrived today.

The shorter knife is titled "waterfowler" and the longer blade is a "boning" knife.These are both part of the Boone and Crocket Platinum Series of knives.They were produced in a number of different types of steel.When I ran across these they had sold out of several choices in steel.I was left with 154CM for the boning knife,with which I have no issues.The waterfowler is Buck's standard steel 420HC.
