Poor soul. Although because she is so young she will adapt far better than if she had lost it later in life.
I work alongside mostly disabled folk and their resolve and courage knows no bounds.

That's true but it's a lot better than the alternative. Plus, with a good glass eye it may be possible that very few people will notice.
