 :rofl: :rofl:

You guys. Well, two might already mess with my finances, loool.

@mrynnr  :tu: :tu: COOOOOL.

Where did you order it from? Maybe someone else might  :whistle: lol

@Aloha,
Haha, Iv'e already seen all the YT vids on the copper version :D I just can't figure out what mode it starts on, low or med. The regular versions start on med. Some people say the copper starts on med, some on low, the specs seem to be med first...  :think:

Some more pros to buying it:

- This will be my first light for 2016 ... I may not even buy any more this year :whistles:
- January is almost over, the summer is almost here (:D:D:D), I'd better get a small light for those long days, small nights, tight pants... (:whistle:)

I don't want to do any research lol... Can someone explain why one is better than the other? Nichia vs Cree. Is it just the lumens?

I won't be the one explaining :facepalm: I love lights, but my physics & tech knowledge regarding them sucks.

Now my only concern is if i'll be able to take good pictures of it right out of the package so that I can compare them to what it'll become later :drool:

Cool light  :tu: I already have a Cu Maratac though, so I'll stick with that  :) (especially considering what these cost)  :ahhh

So someone just told me that the nichia version is better than the cree even though it has lower lumens. Something about it renders colors better? :think:

Yeah, probably, but that's important for the very very picky flashaholics. I don't think that a $60 flashlight will do a bad job in general. Some people say that the colour rendition is crucial when you're a doc and you have to examine various tissues ... where mild inflammation will change the colour of the tissue, fo rexample, so then rendering the right colour is very important.

But since I'll generally use mine at home... knowing the real colour of all furniture, lol, I'd rather have my 110 lumens :D

What if it gets this greenish patina, btw? How does that happen? I do not like that.

Random googled pic.

The green/tarnish will occur due to oxidation and handling.  It seems to really depend on who is handling the copper.  I'd imagine with hands that are sweaty or lotions on hands the light can oxidize quicker.  You can of course polish the light often to keep it shiny and gorgeous or let if oxidize/patina which I also thing is gorgeous.

The green I believe indicates patina that is older.  It goes thru many phases of patina over time.  I've seen some gorgeous patinas ranging from bright green to gross mildew looking green.

I just was not interested.
I think aluminium offers a good Compromise with regard to heat conduction, weight, looks and durability.
A copper light may be too soft and will discolour, leaving a smell on your hands too.

I think I have a few SS lights. shiny  :whistle:

Aluminum really is the best material for a light, great heat dissipation, light, strong, easily machined.

N_N_R, surely you've seen the (green) statue of liberty? It wasn't always that color! Copper oxidizes green
