Cyclists--Campy or Shimano?
on: August 30, 2008, 09:26:55 PM
I love the availability of Shimano parts but i will alway be a Campy guy. My Specialized Allez came with Chorus groupset and a Record rear derailler. I got hooked after riding a double century a few years back. Ergopower controls is better than the flightdeck setup i had on my Trek IMO.

Some day before i get old i want a full Record grouppo on maybe a Merlin or Moots, possibly a Colnago masterlight.

I'd love to give Campy a try.Except for a Giant Nutra, which is Shimano equipped, everything else I have is SunTour.....love vintage steel!

I love vintage Campy, but I can't argue with the reliability of Shimano.

Suntour blows chunks, at least since the advent of indexed shifting.
