Show off your SAK's Battle Scar/s
on: January 29, 2016, 11:59:52 AM
I understand that a lot of people would like their SAKs to remain good looking (without scratches on the scales, shiny blades, no rust - heck that's one of the reason I love SAKs).

But using them would inevitably lead to some battle scars, which to me is a good indication that they are being utilized (more so than we are being careless of their use which nonetheless means we use them).

I have been EDCing my Vic Manager for close to 9 years now. One time I was using it to loosen some screws on a projector that a piece of the cellidor fell off. Couldn't get over if for days!!

So share (and be proud) of the battle scars of your SAKs (before you decided to erase them). Or not.

This is what I'm talking about!  A real workhorse.

I'm just waiting to get home to snap a picture of my Wenger Si.  :salute:

My first ever Victorinox, 1986ish (i think) Champion, with new fine screwdriver and fluted corkscrew, no hook.
In approximately 1988-1989 my older brother used it as a pry bar, and a few years after that it was lost
for nearly a decade in a friends sofa, but was miraculously recovered. The knife is all fine except stiffness
on the can opener even after wash and oil and that icky prying damage. This is the only model i have two
of (besides the soldiers), as after it was lost in the sofa event horizon i whined a new one.

Hopefully this photograph is less awful than the earlier one.
