Hi,

I'm new to this forum (but was a member once, of the old SOSAK site) and I'm posting my first post.

A few of my SAK's are camo, and they happen to be EDC too.

The foto shows a Classic SD and a Fireman (I tried the Hunter XT but it handles poorly compared with the Fireman).
There is a BIC lighter as well.

(Image removed from quote.)

Greetings.

Well I guess if the backdrop is red then it's camo  :D

Wait....there's a SAK in that pic? ???

Surely the title of this thread should be changed to "Camo SAKs. Let's NOT see them!"?
I used to come here a lot.

108 "GAK plus" with hand made camo scales.

(Image removed from quote.)

Very nice  :salute: This pic made me dream of an Uber-Huntsman...

Take a 108mm Vic chassis. Now add,

- Full metal scales of choice
- Brass liners
- Rivets
- Two of the following three knife blades, according to taste :standard drop point, clip point or serrated rescue blade
- 91mm Vic scissors
- 111mm Vic saw from a slider-lock model

Just thinking about it generates massive amounts of  and  :gimme:  in my head!

I do wonder how comfortable would such a SAK be to pocket carry and to handle, though.

Omnia vincit amor. Vae victis.

I searched this topic for "nylon" to no avail, but I hope I'm not re-asking something.

When I was removing and re-installing the camo scales on my Outrider...sure felt to me like nylon or something other than cellidor (I assumed nylon since I it felt different and it's a 111mm knife). I'm wondering now if these 91mm USA flag scales are nylon...

I'm looking for some 91mm scales for a knife I'm going to use "in the elements", and was looking for something that won't melt so easily with alcohol and insect spray. If the camos aren't cellidor then those seem the easiest to find.

It's for a Matterhorn...Camo Matterhorn would look tough with the blade deployed!

111mm scales are definitely nylon... 91mm scales are mostly cellidor (including camo) except for the ecoline range which are nylon...

Btw, the store I visited had blue and white ecoline saks... This is new to me...

Thanks! Good to know. I think I've seen a knife with blue nylon...84mm..does that sound right? Don't remember ever seeing white nylon 91mm ever.

I the red ones on climbers and huntsman. Might risk removing and reusing, on the 111mm knife they were still tight on the second install.

Stayglow is Cellidor?

I really like that...imagining the blue on a Compact. I see 84mm blue nylon (with or without shield) available from canada. But no 91mm.

Blue is tempting though for a sportsman add scissors mod.

Got an odd one in today (along with a red Camper). It's a camo Tinker but it started out life with black scales which were hand painted into a woodland pattern...notice the black edges and black shield background. It's a little dinged up but stll looks cool!
