PST (???) on Rat Genius

In the segment where a rat locates a land-mine, the tech guy defuses it with the pliers on what looks like a PST o a Supertool. I'm really not an expert... The pliers have some sort of a diamond shape, but don't look like a Gerber.

I've never heard of Rat Genius. :(  Is it a new show?

Some documentary on National Geographic. The shows go by "dog genius", "rat genius", etc. They talk about how the animal thinks.
