We all need a good quality nail clipper right? I know some here use their 58mm scissors and yes they work great. A dedicated nail clipper is however a more efficient and more practical way to cut my nails YMMV.
First up is, Trim brand nai clipper. Made in Korea. These are approx 2inches long with a cutting edge of 10mm. They have a nail cleaner/file that is under the lever.
They work great but I dislike how they are assembled ( see pics ). The part that swings out and acts a lever is held in place by the post that runs thru the clipper. The lever is can slide side to side which causes uneven pressure when cutting my nails. This results in me needed to "adjust" the level and recut. The file is not aggressive at all and barely works to smooth clipped nail.
The metal I think is plated and over time there are noticeable "spots" which looks like peeling.
They are very inexpensive.
Concord brand nail clipper. Made in Japan, sheath made in Italy. These are approximately the same dimensions as the Trim brand ( 2in long ) with the Concord being slightly short and a slightly wider cutting edge. There is a larger version of these clippers at 2 3/4 long.
This clipper is "tacticool" black. The black has a slight sheen and looks great. The sheath is a nice addition and holds the clippers decently but they will fall out if shaken. The underside of the lever is where the file is which is IMO perfectly aggressive.
The lever is pinned which helps this clipper cut much better. The lever does have any "slop" which I find results in uneven pressure and faulty cuts.
These are more expensive but for my money they are worth it. These should last quite a while as far as I can tell and they sure look great.
