Day 15
I'm going to have a long day today, working the election here in Florida.  Pictures aren't allowed in polling places, so here's a picture of how I carried the wave before this months challenge.

Did you attach both those sheaths together?

Yes. I took a couple of pieces of nylon webbing and ran them through the belt loop of the Leatherman sheath and sewed them to the sides and back of the buck sheath with another piece of webbing forming a new belt loop behind the Buck sheath so it rides at a comfortable height without being too low and slapping my leg as I walk.  I later shortened that loop for even better positioning.  The only draw back was having to remove the thumb snap on the Buck sheath which required me to devise a new means of securing the Buck packlite skinner, hence the loop of paracord with the nuts on it.  This makes the Buck slow to draw and return which takes away a good bit of the utility that I was trying to achieve.  The concept was sound, but it needs to be redone with the Buck in a fitted kydex sheath so it just snaps in and out without needing a securing mechanism.

Great idea though. Looks really good!

I decided the plain edge blade was a little dull so it got a quick touch up with a pocket sharpening rod.

Yes please! Nice pics. Love the Buck and LM sheath combo you made. Looks like a great set up. I think your right about the Kydex sheath. Would make the knife easier to get to and it might slim things down a bit.

Happy St. Patrick's day Y'all.

I used my wave to slice some Irish corned beef and cabbage.

It cut like a scalpel since I honed it last night. :tu:

Day 18

Went to the park today to clean the wagons and set the mobility scooters to charge so everything will be ready when we open in the morning.  Managed to take one picture of the wave over one of our hand painted signs.

Day 19
Used the wave to open a new toy.  I'll post pictures of the SOG Power Duo later.  I have to charge the camera battery which was almost dead when I took the picture of me opening the clam shell.  Only got the one picture when the red light started blinking.

Day 21

Had time today to take more pictures of the new SOG Power Duo, with the Wave for comparison.  Can't wait to try it out when this challenge is over.

That SOG is a great looking tool.
Don't know if my leathermen would allow me to bring one into the house, they have only just began to accept my SAK!

The Power Duo comes with a tweezers and a toothpick.  The Leatherman tools won't know the difference.  In fact, it feels like a 111mm SAK with pliers on the side.

Nice toy that I noticed has cracked handles right out of the package.  Looks like the screws were over-tightened.  At least I know SOG will take care of it since they have good warranty service.

Hey I just noticed this is my 500th post and I've advanced to Hero member!

Day 22

The weather has been completely screwed up this year.  Every Mango tree in the neighborhood is already blooming, months before they're supposed to, which means they will probably not come to fruit this year.  It's March but my yard looks like fall, completely covered in leaves.  I'm not sure what season this is.

Day 23

Leatherman Wave in a topped tree top.
I was growing a really nice Staghorn Fern in the crook of this Gumbo Limbo tree and I didn't want to throw it away when I cut down the tree so I turned it upside down and now it is living lawn art, next to my pineapple patch.  The ferns are already turning skyward.

Day 24

I like having texture in my garden.  I don't care for neatly trimmed and manicured lawns and gardens where everything is lined up, exactly the same height, and doesn't even move in a breeze.  I prefer things to grow the way they want to grow with little interference by me.  I added rocks & boulders because they give texture and dimension to the garden as the plants grow over them or around them.

Day 26

Today was a special occasion.  The son of one of my best friends was Bar Mitzvahed.   I've known the father since we were 13 but I don't remember ever being so small and skinny as the 13 year olds I saw today.  Anyway, I snuck the wave into the reception where it enjoyed a lager.

Day 27

A couple more garden pictures.  The wave is hanging in a plant that just won't die.  I tried to kill them once, cut them completely down to the ground and dug up the root balls, but I must have left some bits of root and they came back.  I have no idea what they are but they have nice red flowers and since I can't kill them I decided to keep them around.

Day 28

Yesterday was the last day of the 2016 Florida Renaissance Festival and today began the hard work of taking everything down and packing it for storage.  The site crew will be at the park for another week, but I picked up the last of my stuff today.  I'm officially done until next year.  Or at least until I start getting emails from people around November.  I'm sad yet relieved at the same time.  I'm tired.  I celebrated with a vintage 2010, La Gloria Cubana Serie R.

We're almost done with this challenge.  There's only two more days.  Here is a picture of the wave in my orchids.  I might try to take some more pictures today, or I might just go back to bed.

Above and on the other side of the orchids growing up the oak tree is another Staghorn Fern hanging from the tree by a chain.  I've been meaning to get another couple of feet of chain.  Below the tree are some seedlings.  From tiny acorns grows the mighty oak.
