After the beach swim the inner tools became difficult to deploy.

A run through the dishwasher loosened them up again.

However now there is a lot more rust spotting all over the handles and tools.

I was lead to believe that Ti is indestructible, which I thought was BS. And Ti will never rust, which I believed  :sa: Good to know.

I know that once sand gets underneath the Juice scales they will forever be crunchy no matter how you clean. Your findings will be very interesting and looking forward to it. Thanks Z.

The ti slabs are fine, it's the handle liner that's spotting.

Gave it a quick drop of oil to the pivots this morning to keep it usable until I have the time to clean it up.

Years ago when I first got a Charge I took it to the beach. I was careful not to get it wet and kept it off the sand. Someone else however, dropped it.
The rusting didn't bother me too much. The crunching drove me crazy. Finally I dismantled and thoroughly cleaned it.
Aside from mad challenges like this one I try not to take my LMs to the beach.

Ugh, i doscovered that when I cleaned up my new (used) S2 with WD40 after I got it. Crunched for a week. Thank god that went away (probably once the WD40 dried).

I'll never understand why Leatherman chose to keep building those with rivets after the 2014 refresh.

This one was sent to me from bdAmmo (thanks mate) who kindly offered up one of his own.

Benchmade have never replied to any of my emails or returned my phone calls, terrible customer service.

Hmm.  Sorry to hear that.  I have had two encounters with their customer service, and both were A+.  I think maybe they know about your fingernails.

I think it means "Wear a casque".

Funny how this sound is common in languages so different; in Greek κακά (plural for bad) means feces in childrenish, in French "faire caca" means defecate again in kid speech. :)
