Spare flashlight battery and a magnet.

Doesn't the magnet damage the battery?...

I'm curious about this too. Most Olights have a powerful rare earth magnet in the tail cap and there are other brands that have them as well. Never heard of any problems though.

I love the idea of a magnet in the tail cap. I was worried about the magnet ruining the light somehow. I was also thinking about when carried loose in a pocket how it will stick to your keys and such so when you pull one thing out of your pocket everything else comes out as well. Doesn't sound so good.

I haven't observed any negative effects.  The battery terminals are covered while in the pocket to prevent a short circuit.

I wasn't sure about it either. Turns out, the new Olights allow you to remove the magnet from the tailcap. I've one this with 2x S30s and 1x S2 baton and it was straightforward. There is a video on YouTube for it. Helped me make the decision to buy the Olights that I have. I liked the form factor, brightness, etc, but hated the magnet. Now it's best of both worlds. :tu:

Old SwissMemory Alox...originally a 128mb, upgraded to 2GB...and a Fenix

The Fenix finish is pretty tough...It's been wearing a groove into the Alox scales and still looks good.

Today, my fixed blade Bahco Carpenter (rebranded Mora)'s sheath was clipped to my watch pocket.

Usually, it's whatever I carry in addition to a thin SAK or pocketknife--usually a pliers based tool or thick SAK.

I also like the mora sheaths because you can clip them to basicaly anything.

I usually carry my SwissChamp in my watch pockets.  I think I only have one pair of jeans where the pocket isn't deep enough to carry it.

Mine has always been my EDC Flashlight pocket.
When I had the Led Lenser P3 I tried to carry it there and worked like a charm. All my torches go there since then.

Nowadays my Lumintop AAA rides that pocket.

Greatest pocket of them all!
