I've also found that it's handy to roll the opener as you lift to make sure the can opener tip doesn't puncture the cap.

I usually just open the side the opener is on and leave the pliers folded into the other side.

The bottle opener in LM is kind of difficult to use.  Many times it ended up having the cap with a hole still staying on the bottle. The one on sak seems easier to handle..

There has never been a bottle we didn´t get open... in the past.

But since I use to carry a SAK or LM MT with me it is never a real deal. NEVER...

The LM Bottle Opener works a little different, but it works. And the opener on my WAVE almost got a lot of use on a lot of beer bottles.
No twist offs here on my side of the planet. The caps use to fit tight and need a tool to get opened. But a ruler or a screwdriver also works, if necessary.

This. And then after I screw it up and slip it off the cap a few times, I go get a Vic. :P

Haha yep! Vic bo > LM bo easy

Also it's kind of funny. The micra bottle opener out performs all of the much much larger leathermans cap lifters lol  :think:

The problem with the Vic is that the hook is so tiny all it does is bend out one of the crimps on the cap and doesn't actually, oh I don't know, LIFT the cap. It invariably takes about 3 attempts before the cap is deformed enough to pop off. I'd rather do it once and maybe get a hole in the cap, but once the LM opener grabs hold, it HOLDS.

I think it's a question of habit. The Vic opener is totally surefire for me, while those with a large hook feel cumbersome to me. So tastes vary. The LT one is a can opener which you use as an improvised bottle opener, IMHO.

The LM opener is really for more advanced users though I agree :P
I used to come here a lot.
