SOG PowerLock Parts Needed
on: April 09, 2016, 12:05:41 AM
Hey guys. Great forum! I have had my powerlock since 2003 when I was in the service. This tool has become one of those "never leave home without it" kinda' things. A few bits have broke over the years and I was hoping someone might have a parts multitool that I could buy from. In particular, I am looking for the file and a large screwdriver/can opener. Appreciate any help. Thanks.

Have you asked SOG warranty dept? They are a little slow, but very good. As long as some of the pieces are still around, they might warranty them.

I also have a spare file.

Do you mean a bottle opener/flathead?

Thanks for the idea slaughtermed. I will look into their warranty and see what I can learn. Would like to get this thing fixed up again. I do have pieces of both of the parts that have broken over the years.

Looks like their elaborate warranty for multi-tools only applies to the "handles and plier head...and not the individual tool components." Oh well, thanks for the suggestion...sure worth a try.

Here are the parts I have.  Let me know if any of them are any good to you.

Grant, I will email my zip code to see how much these two parts would be plus shipping to me. I could use one file and one of the covers that I circled.

I thought I had a spare can opener too- sorry about that.  I mist have given it to someone else over the years.

I used to have such a giant horde of SOG parts....

Here is what my SOG has turned into over the years. I didn't think I would ever find a guard so I didn't bother asking.

The one broken in the second pic from the top (two posts up) was a medium screwdriver/bottle opener? These parts were broken when I got the SOG.

Got the parts from Grant put on :climber:
