The Ranger is 22 mm wide.
The Expedition Lite is listed as 30.
Is that correct ?
Is there more than the LED Lite additional width ?

Correct.

The expedition also has the scales with electronics, which are thicker.

Thank you,  I'm a bit surprised the scales added so much but that would explain it.
