How hard would it be to fit a new LED?
Man, the Mountaineer Lite is my dream SAK.Or it would be if it had the magnifying glass instead of the Lite and didn't cost more than a Swisschamp. It's insanely expensive for what it is. I don't understand the pricing.Sorry for derailing and ranting!
Having bought a Forester, a Hunter XS, a Fisherman, an Outrider and two Damascus Pioneers in the last few weeks the last thing I need is another SAK...But as soon as I hear the words "discontinued" my knees go wobbly and I lose control of my senses (but not my bowels, luckily.) So I better get one of these before it's too late...

Congrats!!!!!
BTW, can someone with a 91mm Lite show the battery compartment open? I'm still curious as to how the LED is mounted.

Quote from: SAK Guy on April 24, 2016, 03:37:53 PMCongrats!!!!! +1 Had a little trouble finding this one also, seems the Mountaineers are not as popular in N. America as elsewhere. Great toolset despite the light, but if you give your eyes a few minutes to adjust and eliminate all other light sources, it's better than nothing. The only model with the sapphire plus scales as standard I believe, a nice looking and useful SAK.
If I was Keith Richards I'd be looking at this thing and wondering "Why the hell didn't they put the pharmaceutical spatula there instead of the metal file?! Take the batteries out and you've got a perfect hiding place..."
