Top left-Taurus   Top right- S&W Sigma  Bottom-KelTec PF9
For work I carry a Bushmaster .223 for a rifle.  We still also carry Remington 870 shotguns but will soon be all switched over to the rifle.

Cheers mate
Why the switch to the rifle is it because there is less chance of bystanders getting hurt .Lawyers get everywhere

Its much more practical.  Here is a short list of reasons.  Higher ammunition capacity, more accurate, a single projectile (shotguns can use slugs but they can over penetrate and they are not as accurate as a rifle), less recoil, more versatile (a shotgun is great in close but can not be used a greater distances like those encountered when you grab the shotgun and grab cover, a rifle is great at short and long distances).  Thats just to name a few.  And you are most certainly welcome.

We also put door breaching rounds and less lethal (beanbags) through designated shotguns.  Its funny you mention the breaching, I just received an order of Avon rounds (breaching) yesterday.

Oh and don't worry about being nosey....I am too.

Yes.  Some models have had problems due to a lack of finish work.  In the past I had the P3AT, which I polished the feed ramp to the second I got it and had zero problems.  I haven't done any work to the PF9 and it has yet to misfire.  I feel very confident with my PF9.

I am a cop (15 years).  I carry a S & W Sigma .40 cal on-duty (I am the department firearms supervisor and am searching for replacement guns).  Off-duty and vest carry is a Kel-Tec PF9 9mm and a Taurus PT-745 .45 cal.
Any chance of pictures please?

Here you go.  Of course the Skeletool was added because....this is MT.org.

Thank-you, I am always envious of the great pictures some of you take.

LM123-I am glad you have had good luck with your Sigma, we hate ours.  We have had lots of trouble, two of the E models went full-auto at the range.  Once they started firing there was no stopping it until you dropped the mag or it ran out of ammo.  I am in the process of selecting a new gun for the department.  In the running are the S&W MP40, Sig Sauer P250, Springfield XDM 40, and the Glock 22 and 35.  We will be testing them as soon as I get them all in.  Not that any of you asked. ::)

I retired in 1995 after 25 years as a bomb tech / criminal investigator.

Yes, I do have 10 fingers and can run 100 yards in under 10 seconds !

EDC now is a Smith & Wesson Model 637,  Chief’s Special Airweight .38 Special or a Glock model 19, 9mm

Why do I carry a 45 ?
Because they don't make a 46 !

cgk, I think you'll be quite impressed by the Springfield XD.  It is the only polymer gun I would rank right up there with my Sig SP2022 (Sig Pro).  The rumor is that the P250 will be replacing the Sig Pro line, which is a shame, IMO.  Isn't the P250 DAO?

Any SIG that is a 'DAK' model is double action all the time.

Right.  I believe the P250 is a DAK model, isn't it?

Yes the P250 is DAO.  DAO is a requirement for us, we switched to it about 12 years ago and have been happy with it.  The hang-up on the Sig is a lack of holsters and Simunition conversion kits, it might be too new for us to switch to.
