Multi Tool Badge ?
on:
June 10, 2016, 11:08:00 PM
This is my multi tool that My husband bought me for my shooting bag. I use to remove miss chambered rounds and to take apart my guns.
I tried to find the name brand and can't find it only marking is stainless on the blade. I found one that had NRA on it at ebay, but he got it from one of his knife catalogs.

The plier head and internal tools (drivers and blades) look identical to those found in a lot of lower-end multitools. I had a MT called a Bucket-Boss that had the same stuff in it. The handles may differ depending on the branding. I think the idea behind this type of deal is basically that they get manufactured in great quantities in a Chinese factory and companies pay to sell under their own label, ie Winchester, Coast, Craftsman

Welcome to Multitool.org!
That is a typical mass market catalogue multitool. Manufacturers in China, Pakistan and other places produce these tools by the millions and sell them to anyone who wants to but them in volume. You usually see them marked with beer brands and included in cases or sold at big box stores with Nascar, Coca Cola or Ford logos silkscreened on them.
If you search on ebay for "multitool" you will have your pick of these for less than $10.
That's not to say they aren't good. They may not be up to the quality of some of the major brands like Leatherman or Victorinox but they aren't too bad. Be prepared for the wood inserts to come off at some point, but overall the tool should be solid enough.

Many of the User badges don't require a specific brand or type, so if you put it to use, make sure you get a picture!

I have one of those tools. The implements on mine aren't very good, aside from the pliers, which are so-so. Mine is branded Appalachian Trail.
