  • Apparently it is possible to have too many tools;)
Has anyone noticed this one ?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/231958436532

It is stamped as "1st Production" but I'm not totally convinced.

I'm not suggesting the seller is trying to sell something they know is not genuine, they probably believe this tool is genuine, but this particular tool has several differences to an FPR one I have (I believe mine is the same as several other FPR 360 tools I have seen photos of):

"Gold" engraving (mine is just plain stamped/etched SS).  The only odd thing is that it is a very accurate engraving job, with no overlaps on the regular outline stamping that I could see.  I would have thought this would be quite difficult to do to an existing tool.

Different wording & font.  This one has "1ST PRODUCTION", mine has "087-400, FIRST PRODUCTION RUN" in a smaller font

Ramps on pliers is different (this one is the same as some later but still "early" 360 variants I have)

The sheet metal (spring) pressing for the component locks (inside the handle) is different (this one is the same as some later but still "early" 360 variants I have)

What do others think ?
