84mm awl's seated position
on:
June 14, 2016, 02:28:38 AM
Has anyone noticed the awl sitting up higher on the 84mm models? I've compared the awl on my 84mm Small Tinker to all of my other 91mm models, and it sits higher when closed. Both backspring tools actually sit higher than the middle liner. I don't see a problem with it, but it did catch my eye.

I just noticed this the other day on an 84, and thought it was a defect. (I bought it used on ebay)
glad to see it is normal, and I just had not noticed it before
If I can help, let me know

I'm a big Vic guy, but I did appreciate the way the old Wenger awl set flush under the SAK.

Is it because it's a standard sized awl in a smaller frame?

Ya it must be since they use the same backtools from the 91mm line
