Hello from Nova Scotia
on: June 13, 2016, 10:01:18 PM
Hey - I joined, the MTO forum, a few days ago. I have taken the time to look around and I very much like what I see (read and see).
I live in Central NS, and rely on tools a lot. Years ago my employer provided me with my first multi-tool. I have been wearing, carrying or sporting one ever since. I find them irresistible, essential and simply freaking neat... :)
I carry every day what I think I might need. I also carried what I had to meet the regulations at work. After years of "carrying" for a living I doubt I will ever cease. it's like leaving the house without a watch...
So this forum and its members speak my lingo, enjoy the same topics and hopefully I get to meet new folks.

Welcome to the forum- I've lived in Halifax since 2000, and was there from the mid 80's to early 90's as well.  Last month I moved to Ottawa, but still own property in Halifax.

There is another member here, DerekMac that lives in either Enfield or Elmsdale... I can never remember which, and since I'm from Halifax I really can't tell one from the other.  I imagine he will be along shortly to tell me off for that one....  :ahhh

Great to have you here!

Hey NKlamerus - the GERBER "Multi-Plier" pocket Tool

Which version did you get?

The original Gerber MultiPlier has been nicknamed "Mr. Pinchy" since the handles tended to pinch the user if you weren't careful.

After that the original Multiplier was morphed into the MP600 (which has more variants than the average person can count) and the MP400, which was a slightly smaller version.  There were more as well- the MP700 Urban Legend and the MP800 Legend (or was that the other way around?   ) which were more traditional butterfly type opening instead of sliding head versions.

You can see them all listed here:

Welcome aboard Marc!!   I live in Elmsdale, so not too far away at all!

Also, now that you're here, you should also buy a Jeep and come wheeling with us!! :pok:  :D  Jeeps and MT's are a great combo!  Just make sure it's a blunt nose, right Grant?      (it involves a starter (or was it battery?), and a shock :D )
