I fell asleep on the couch watching TV. I woke up with the need to go visit the rest room. While using the washroom, I feel something crawl across my neck. I wiggle and shake as both my hands are currently preoccupied, and it stops. I continue to finish my business...and then I think...what was that sensation of something running across my neck? I turn my back to the washroom mirror and just almost below my line of sight, I see the biggest, blackest bug walking slowly on the back of my T shirt. I start to jig and jag animatedly in my frantic attempts to get the insect off of me. Eventually I got it to land on the floor. I spin around and see it running quite fast across the floor and under a small pile of towels. I run to get my fly swatter and started a successful seek and destroy mission. Once swatted, I noted it was a fairly big Assassin bug.  I know these pack quite a wallop if they bite you...but after a short but intensive net search, I found out it was the Black Corsair. I was thinking the kissing bug...but it wasn't thankfully. What a freaking huge specimen. I must have carried it on me from the living room to the washroom. As I am typing this, my mind is now on overdrive, thinking I am crawling all over with bugs...go figure.

I can laugh about it now...but if someone had seen me dancing frantically to get this thing off of my back, they would have thought me quite strange.

I don't like creepy crawlers either and I am quite sure I would have done the same thing :ahhh :D

It is odd that as big as humans are compared to bugs even harmless ones the mind sends us into panic mode :ahhh

It is just a involuntary reaction I know but quite humorous if not happening to yourself :D

NO JOKE I just stepped into the bathroom to grab a q-tip, and the wind of my foot moved a leaf across the floor.

Just about needed to change my pants. Reading about bugs on you and seeing and hearing that leaf is too much

I did have a cockraoch crawl across my neck one night while camping. That was enough to decide to buy a cot.

I would much rather a big set of six legs to crawl over me, than a big set of eight.

I fished a Wolf Spider big enough to eat the above out of the bathtub last night....let him go out side to keep the coyotes at bay. :D

Not a fan of spiders. Was reading an article about that tarantula a few hours prior and this one is actually more friendly and not venomous to humans. It prefers insects, and Chako's neck.  >:D

I never kill spiders in the house. Either I leave them be, or I carry them outside. It's easy maintaining the superstition that killing spiders is bad luck, when you live in a place with no dangerous species.

As for the story starting this thread, it's incredible how efficient insects are at removing human dignity.  :D
