Another useful item would be a ferro rod that thread onto spot where spike is.

Unscrew it and use back of saw to start a fire?  I'd like to possibly replace the wood saw with a file.

I'd like to do alot that you have. I have my EOD. Have a MUT plier head on the way from Loki.

I was wondering about machining a bit holder so that it would either thread in place of the C4 spike or thread into the hole in the handle into the MUT head.

Not sure how well a bit holder would work on a threaded attachment. Since loosening a tight screw would also loosen the bit holder.

Another useful item would be a ferro rod that thread onto spot where spike is.

Unscrew it and use back of saw to start a fire?  I'd like to possibly replace the wood saw with a file.

That could work, although I would probably just tuck the rod into a pocket on the sheath or on my pants instead as I typically have one or both of those carry methods available when I'm carrying a multi.

The file is a straight swap for the wood saw as the parts are the same size. Just need to add an extra washer (2 total) between the file and the next tool to allow it to open smoothly.

No harm in posting and getting input. :salute:

Might give you some food for thought and spark another cool idea. :tu:

I'm still looking at what I want to add to my kit to make use of the threaded attachment points.

Link to thread with parts order for ST300 standard and EOD models: http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,67152.msg1295987.html#msg1295987

May be handy for those looking to mod their 300 series tools.
