Worst case of Multitool Pareidolia

Pareidolia: - When the mind perceives a familiar pattern of something where none actually exists.

Has it ever happened to you before?
 
To suddenly spot a multitool only to realize that what you are actually seeing is a common (or uncommon) object that you just misinterpreted ?

This afternoon I was walking towards the plant when I saw this:



My first thought was “it must be just a random piece of metal strip” but I actually had to go back and double check.

And surely it was just that, a flimsy piece of metal strip.

By far the worst case of Multitool Pareidolia i have ever had.  :ahhh

Soak it in vinegar then sharpen it up its already got a hole for a lanyard or keyring.

That is a RARE VINTAGE GENUINE CUSTOM ONE-OF-A-KIND MASTERPIECE MULTITOOL.

After all those comments about possible uses I had to go back and pick it up.  :tu:



It is thinner that it looked on the first picture, but that can be something good. I will be easier to modify into a Pocket Clip or a Dangler.

Funny story about the Shard.... Gerber produced a bunch of them to hand out at shows but had no plans to put them into production.  After all, they had just released the Artifact and that was supposed to be their key chain tool.

I and a few others got Shards and liked them so much that we encouraged as many people as possible to write to Gerber and tell them we wanted them in production.

Gerber has told me that the decision to actually produce the Shard was largely due to encouragement from this forum, so don't let anyone tell you that we don't have any influence on the industry!
