First go at a custom alox
on: June 29, 2016, 11:26:52 AM
After drooling over all the custom SAKs I see here everyday; I decided to try my hand at making one of my own.

I used a Pioneer X, green pioneer farmer and a Voyager. All Pivots are 1/8".

Unfortunately the phillips interferes with the scissors nail nick, and after lowering it, it now sits a bit low and is hard to open. When i get some time i will swap that layer with the scissors layer, and alternate the phillips and magnifier so it won't interfere with the blade nail nick. I will have to make a plan to raise it up a bit too.

I was a bit rushed for time, and there are lots of little things to be sorted still, but it was good fun, I learnt a lot and I am really happy with the end result.

Quite excited to post this and will definitely post some more pics when I get a gap to sort out the layers

Well, it is a mind-altering, life-changing experience, even if you only get to live through it just once... Well worth it, I'd say  :D

Wow, it looks great! I really like the tool set. If money was better on my end I'd ask how much
