Is It Possible? Leatherman Mods

I just got my new LM Charge TTi, and am loving it. I've already replaced the pliers with those from a rebar, and put the wingman scissors on in place of the saw. I just saw my friend's new Surge the other day, and the t-shank blade exchanger is really appealing to me. is this something i could put on the charge? I don't really want to buy a whole surge just for that, so has anybody else made their own blade exchanger?

Nice job with the scissors, and plier swap :tu:

Not to be a Debbie Downer, but the Surge Blade Exchanger wont fit in a Charge without some pretty huge modifications, most of which require access to a mill.

Metropolicity did this very involved mod here:

Its an inside tool, not an outside opening one. Its thinner than the Surge BE, so space might not be a problem, but im pretty sure the pivot diameter of Leathermans large inside opening tools is 3/16", while the outside opening portion of the Wave has 7/32" pivots. Not to mention you would have to grind a lock face into the ST300EOD BE, which sounds easy, but isn't. The Surge file and saw wont fit in this one either.
Putting it on the inside would require grinding the pivot area down, as the larger tools have taller pivots than the smaller tools.
