  Actually, I made a video on chopping said trunk of wood and is on YouTube. So half the answer is there. :P

As pfrsantos changed his guess and Xelkos ( :P ) added extra hints, I'll update my guess as well...

Cutting the branch took 41 swings.
EXIF hour of first picture with the broken wood was 21:32 and EXIF hour of the fire picture you posted was 22:14 so this means 42 minutes. Let's say 40 minutes as it might have taken a bit to setup the wood in a pile so I'll say 81 in total ... although I still think pfr got the right reply and I suck at counting blows  :think:

  Did notice a discrepancy of time stamp on some photos on my end, unsure why. Hadn't noticed that before on this Sony Cyber-shot camera before. Know I didn't chop all that wood under a minute's of time. I'm good, but not THAT good. :D

  2nd answer was all over the board until someone spilled the beans. :twak:

  In what seemed like well over an hour (to me) wasn't all that long really.
 
  Went from preparation at 9:32 PM
 
 

  It had gotten dark and was kinda desperate in getting a fire, so used a secret ingredient I did not know I had with me. :whistle:
 
  This was at 9:47 - yet I did not have a fire...

  At 9:57 PM I had a successful fire. Well... perty close but good enough
 

  It did die down and I had a bunch of coals. Went to go chop more wood, and eventually had this!
 
  10:16 PM is when I was able to start getting the mini stove lit and cooking dehydrated vittles.

  So, using a clock calculator I have 9:32 PM as the start time. Was not able to record myself failing to make fire. I did make a fire blister!
 
  That was caused by a magnesium flare-up. Was too cold, didn't feel it. Felt the bump
 
  And end time was at 9:57 PM. Which equates to 25 minutes. It really seemed much longer, to be honest.
  Am going to put together some sort of fire starter material for next time.

Definitely not passing on this prize... the brass is sooo pretty and the kukri is unique. I have dreamt about that brass golden shininess in the last few days. I also always wanted a BO sak too, but couldn't afford one... plus this is my first combo-tool Wenger.... very generous, very cool... thank you for this great giveaway mate Artist formerly known as Xelkos ... and for making it hard so it would scare competition away from joining  :P

PS: I just realised I'd have won with the initial guess as well (52 was 14 away), 2 hours of post searching, chop counting and EXIF mining for nothing...  :shrug:

Exchangeable image file format (officially Exif, according to JEIDA/JEITA/CIPA specifications) is a standard that specifies the formats for images, sound, and ancillary tags used by digital cameras (including smartphones), scanners and other systems handling image and sound files recorded by digital cameras.

Basically you can find out everything about a picture, when it was taken, with what, with what settings, how it was edited etc. It's nice as it keeps the original picture info, even if you save it, upload it, compress it etc. You can even more or less deduce where it was taken...

That's why I have two cameras. One to take the picture, then one to take a picture of the picture to confuse people.
