New project

So I acquired a 1965 Dodge Dart GT this week. A little rough around the edges but it was running when parked five years ago. It needs the tranny rebuild. I was raised with hot rods in the family so I went and talked to my dad and we decided that it wouldn't take much to get it running and rebuilt the transmission. Once it's able to move under its own power we will tackle the rust and prime it. Looking forward to this project. Haven't had one since my 68 Falcon was wrecked 6 years ago. Here's some pics of it as it sits before moving it to my dads garage. It's complete with no missing pieces or trim.

The goal is rust free and drivable. Projects like these in my family are 10 plus year projects. My income doesn't allow for all out crazy restoration. My goal is to put a Clifford Performance kit on it though. But right now the goal is drivable.

Man that looks like an awesome project.  I would love to see updates as you build it up over however long it takes.  I love old cars, and Whoey is especially partial to old Mopars.

Are you going to modernize it, just make it driveable of more of a concourse type restoration?
