Yes I did post here. I did not ask words to be placed in my mouth. Sorry my concerns have offended you also. I notice you post quite frequently in these for sale posts with popcorn emojis and such. I don't need nor want drama. Mike and I have come to agreeable terms and I expect that to be the end of it. If it doesn't resolve itself I will report back. Then we can get the popcorn out

DaveK well I'm glad you aren't offended. Trust me, no one was more disappointed in this than me. I really wanted this multi tool. As a matter of fact, I checked and rechecked that date code many times. I even contemplated doing nothing about it. Eventually I decided to mention it because I just thought it was in the best spirit of the forum to do so.

With that being said I will get this to the post office asap so I can get back to enjoying the forum and multi tools.

I'd like to see is this tool as it sounds very interesting.  Does it appear the hardware has been tampered with?  I understand now the old scales have been placed onto a Charge TTi  .  Very odd thing to do, am I missing something? 

Anyway I'm not surprised Mike made it right.  All that matters is resolution and glad you two worked it out. 

Just so you know I'd be pissed if in fact Mike had deceived you.  I don't know you but being a member we take care of our own.  We certainly don't take kindly to liars, scammers, thieves or any other attempt to mess with members.  Sorry this happened and it sucks especially since it appeared to be a great tool.   

Lastly, You posting made it ALL OF OUR business and so yes it does have to do with me as well as every member here, active or not.

I received this item today. I was under the assumption that I was purchasing a Charge Ti. This item appears to be be a Charge Ti but has date codes of 05-15 in both handles. There is no way this can be a Charge Ti. I also called Leatherman Tools to verify this. This is obviously a TTi with  154 blade and non hook serrated blade. It has the older Titainium scales which according to Leatherman would not be on a 2015 Charge TTi.

The tool is very clean and new looking but is obviously made out of parts to look like a Charge Ti. I purchased this because it was represented to be a Ti model which it is not.

I look forward to hearing from the seller on this. I don't have pictures at the moment but will be happy to take some when I get home tonight. Honestly the tool is very nice but I wouldn't have purchased it if I new it was a clone of a Charge Ti. I also see nothing in the description that says it's a clone.

I really hate that this happened but I feel it needs to be told. I have enjoyed this forum for awhile and wish I didn't have to make this post. I will await a response.

I don't think it was a TTi since it doesn't have the crimping plier's or the guy hook on the serrated or the s30v blade so it must have either been a put together one or some kind of a repaired one but like I said, this will be taken care of and now that I know it isn't an actual Ti, I might as well just use it.

@ PITBULLZ4ME:  John, no need for pics!  I believe you and you will get a complete refund plus return shipping!  I have had many sales on here and never an issue til now that is but I don't go around misrepresenting items or trying to screw folks over so ask around to verify this if you wish!

Again, I apologize to everyone here and to John but I didn't know this was a put together or repaired Ti or what ever it actually is.

I am very intrigued  .  Mike and I have done several deals so once you two conclude this I'll be in touch with him, thank you for the offer.  I may have just what he wants for a trade since this is a wonky tool  .

The dates are stamped on the handle frames, then the scales (Al or Ti) are attached. So if you wanted to pass your AL off as a Ti, its a simple change to make.

Look at the file closely. It photographs just like it did in the original ad. It appears wavy on camera but in person it looks straight

I agree.  That is what I get for buying on Ebay I guess.  Oh well, it looks like I will probably just sell off my Wave and maybe my NIB Charge AL and just use this one.

You could keep it Mike.  I'm very particular and it is near perfectly put together. My only complaint was it wasn't a Charge Ti

Ok so here are my

TTI dated 09/12 10/12

Ti dated 04/04 both sides.  Mine also had the pat pend on the back of the frame by the locks.

Al dated 02/14 both sides. 

Am I seeing the plier stamps correctly?  Does it appear the Ti font is "thinner than the TTi? Also thinner than the Al.

It also appears the Ti scales are thinner than the Al ones.
