Will this sheath fit my Craftsman?
on: August 03, 2016, 11:14:45 PM
I recently acquired a Craftsman which has a great tool set but is a little bulky. I saw this sheath on Amazon but I don't want to get it if it doesn't fit. Will it work? Is their a better sheath available?

Any help is welcome. Thanks

Right off, that's a Swisstool pouch so it's for a 105mm+ tool....your 91mm Craftsman will be too short. That one is too narrow as well. In leather, look for a X-Large Zermont pouch.

Here is a nylon one for your Craftsman.

And same style leather as you pictured.

CVW does a great job of saying what the pouches fit!

Buy from them or get the number and search on Amazon for it. :tu:

Thank you for the quick response. I like ordering from Central Valley. They communicate well and ship relatively quick (I've been spoiled by Amazon) the nylon one looks good.

Maybe it's just me but the sheath for Vic always throw me off. Too many options.

Update, I got the sheath on Saturday and it fit well. I can also throw my fenix e01 in with it without a problem. Thanks again for the help

Whoa bud. Glad you got one...but was it too big...did I give you the wrong part# or something? Or did you want to be able to do that?

Side by side. It was short enough, I just had some extra side room. I'll try to get pictures tomorrow. It seems like the sheath is wide enough for a Swisschamp. I don't mind the extra space. From what I know Vic always makes their sheath with a range of layers in mid. 5-8 layer sheath for example.

Aw man! A 6 layer craftsman should have fit just right in a 5-8 sheath.

I'm Sorry!

Pictures as promised. Outside the sheath

Inside

And inside with sheath closed

Again because I can slip the e01 in the sheath without added bulk or weight I don't mind the sheath being a little wider than expected.

Yeah, that damn Vic standardization!  It's like saying a size 11 shoe will fit a size 8-11...technically it will, but not well.

We'll know more by Friday!

The Medium Nylon Case 33247 will fit your Craftsman perfect. I bought one to check it with my Craftsman!  :2tu:

All I can figure is that Vic must size those with that extra space in mind to put that little bit set in so the sizes are wrong for just the knife alone.

Demel, you have another PM sir!  :salute:
