Greetings and salutations.

Howdy. I'm Tom and I'm pleased to meet y'all.
I hail from 1977 and got my first Vic Classic at age 6. I have been a tinkerer all of my life and have hands-on experience building and working with wood, leather, metal, plastic and stone. My current passions are model making, power electronics, cargo bikes and hiking in the woods.
I was born and raised in Northern Denmark, but have spent half a decade in the US (Penn State) and a couple of years split between Hungary and the UK. After the financial crisis laid waste to my career in liberal arts I am now 2/3rds of the way through a degree in engineering. My new career will hopefully provide a more stable livelihood for my little family and peace of mind for myself. But time will tell, I suppose.
I love the edc scene and am constantly torn between an obsessive-compulsive loathing of redundancy AND a pathological love for new shiny preciousses.
My smallest single-purpose EDC tool is a tiny photo etched razor saw the size of a small x-acto blade and my biggest one is a SOG EOD Powerlock with a custom bladeless loadout.
My most prized multitol is my grandfather's miniature anvil with integrated vise jaws.
But enough yapping on my part.
How are y'all doing today?

You talk about an anvil with built in vice jaws and you didn't post a picture of it? I think we absolutely require a photo of that, and I wouldn't mind a look at that razor saw. Photo etching is something I am really interested in since I learned about it a million years ago when I built a lot of models.
Welcome to the forum- it seems like you are exactly the kind of member we are looking for around here!

My Thanks, gentlemen.
As for pics, I'll attach them below. Grandpa was a machinist and had converted an old pig stable on his farm into his workshop. It was littered with parts, tools and half-forgotten projects. His projects tended to be spectacular and also fail due to a complete lack of theoretical insight. Like when his simple rocket engine melted during testing, or like when the chassis of his scratch built car buckled under the weight of its passengers and luggage while vacationing. But those are stories for another time.
I loved his collection of small tools as a kid, and managed to snag a few when my uncles divided up the motherlode after grandpa passed.
The saw is a modern aquisition and part of a set of a dozen or so different saws that fit an x-acto no. 1 handle. They are about one third thickness of an x-acto blade and will happily cut unhardened steel.
Cheers
