They're all still plenty strong enough to whittle wood with. I definitely prefer the Executive 81 and large blade of the Executive. Classic still whittles fine, though. Feels better with the Manager I have, just because the handle's wider.

It's a rebranded Wenger Esquire model (their equivalent to the Victorinox Classic). They sell it not as both the Victorinox 'Executive 81' and the Victorinox 'Wenger' model, which are identical except the branding on it.

Looks like the main blade is a bit bigger and the scissors are serrated with the spring bar. I'd like to try one at some point as the blade looks nice.

Go for it, I often carry my minichamp as a companion to bigger tools or at the very least on it's own in a pocket  :tu:

I started carrying a Rambler on my keys because of the Philips driver combo tool but then moved on to a MiniChamp because, why not? While I liked having that large toolset in such a compact unit, I’ve come to realize that I don’t utilize half of the tools on it. I do use the main blade, scissors, cap lifter, nail file and the pen. But I also wanted to keep a small flashlight on my person but didn’t want to add something additional to my key chain. I had toyed with the idea of a Huntsman Lite in the 91mm range, but decided that it was too bulky for pocket carry. And then I remembered the Midnight Manager. It has all the tools I need without adding anything extra to my key ring after swapping it out with the MiniChamp already there. I’ve got a ruby scaled MM on the way; can’t wait to see how it performs.

I love how bright the LEDs are on the new generation of Midnite Manager and Midnite MiniChamp, I hope you love it!

Fingers crossed FB! I think it really fits the bill with my most used tools and a tiny light on my key chain. Any light would be better than nothing when you really need it and I've read that the new LEDs are much better than earlier versions.

I would love to say that I finally got all the knives that I need.
Well, I actually can... I just can't say that I've got all the knives that I WANT.
I'm absolutely loving the Alox MiniChamp, that found its way into my shopping cart  at SMKW.  I actually may have enough MiniChamps now.
I'm off to find a few Vanguards now.  I hate looking for discontinued knives though.
The search is on...

PC, do you mean Vagabonds?  I know the feeling about looking for discontinued knives.  The good news is I'm no longer looking for Vagabonds, I have the ones I want in my collection, so one less person in the market helps especially if you're bidding.
You can find them for around $12-25, that seems to be the price range I found mine for.

Has there ever been a 58mm model with only the cap lifter/combo tool, scissors and nail file? I looked around SAKWiki but didn't see anything.

This wouldn't work in terms of thickness. The combo tool and scissors are dual spring tools and can be opposite each other, but you need a single spring tool opposite the file.

A Classic with a spring bar tool, that's neat! Is the SBT still a file or something? It'd feel like a waste if that's all they did...

The Rambler sure comes close, but it adds one more tool, a blade.

Some of the older Jetsetters come close, but they're missing the nail file.

An Executive Plus... I'd love to find one of those. I've been carrying the Executive around the house, lately. More than enough for my home needs.
