Altimeter back scale needed

I unfortunately chipped the back scale of my ruby Victorinox Altimeter awhile back and I'm wondering about replacing it.  Is it worth it to ship to Victorinox customer service, or will I have better luck (i.e. cheaper) finding a donor on eBay?

I concur, there are several on the 'Bay for $14 shipped. I just ordered two sets of Sapphire scales today.

 Um...if he just uses a regular/plus back scale he'll loose the tweezers. Altimeter back scale has tweezers and toothpick in the same scale. Shorter tweezers if Im not mistaken, and has a different surface  (not glossy/polished).

All the tools are on the back to make room for all the electronics on the front.

But...could be wrong I dont have one in front of me.

The ruby altimeter is more of a matte finish, it's not like the normal ruby translucent.  Hence, my problem.  Anyone have any ideas about why they use the matte finish for the models with electronics?

Im curious if they're made out of Cellidor or some other type of plastic. It seems like it's not the same plastic.  Hoping an expert will have some info.
