The story of my Swisschamp
on: April 01, 2015, 04:54:12 AM
My swisschamp has seen its fair share of use and abuse, such as taking shrapnel from a bullet in Iraq, and being used as a tool, not as an object like a fine watch, or an expensive car. No, it's still very well cared for, and as clean as a new knife, but I think of it as the best tool in my collection because of the fact that it came from my uncle, who carried it on all these trips, and, being an employee of the armed forces, he was stationed in many different countries and continents, which explains the battle scars. The knife was a wedding present from my grandfather, who still lives 3 blocks away from me, and just so happens to be the greatest man to influence me in my daily life. I am looking now to replace this knife. No, I can't ever sell it, but I need another Swisschamp to be my EDC until my XAVT is bought and in my hands.

Well, then thank your uncle for his service.

I was only three years older than you when I married and started a family.

Would love to hear that story as well as others from its travels.   :tu:

Incredible story!

Most of the time I'm "all for" carrying every item.

But I would so totally be okay with seeing it in a shadow box and a picture of your uncle/gpa/you
