Hello from the UK
on: October 26, 2016, 12:09:49 PM
Hi there,

i'm Spence and i'm new to the forum. Bit of a leatherman addict, i've assembled a modest collection with a few models. Some have gone (Micra, Skeletool, Style, Kick) but there are a few i'll never part with. I'm ex-armed forces; a veteran and i've been messing around with knives and multitools for some time. My original purchases were an original PST and a Mini tool in 1988 and 1991 respectively but they went missing in 1996 on Ops. I replaced them with a PST II and Micra in '96 and still have the PST II (engraved with my service number). Treated myself to a Wave in 2000 when in the Middle East but still found myself using the PST II. I was Issued a Core in 2008 on my third Afghan tour and this too has stayed with me. I've tried the Skeletool but, as much as it was ok, it did'nt really bring anything to the party that i didn't already have. I have also picked up a P4 and a PS4 which are part of my EDC and bug-out kit.

My collection are all users not case queens as i feel they were designed and created to be used, no disrespect to others who choose to do this. My reason for joining the forum is because i want to start modding as well as possibly adding to my collection of older models. Keeping my eyes peeled for another Mini-Tool and a Side-Clip but am also interested in trying some of the newer models like the Rebar.

Anyway, thanks for the opportunity, after being a member of other forums for a while this looks like a nice place to be!

Solving problems you didn't know you had in the most obscure way possible

"And now, it's time to hand this over to our tame race axe driver. Some say, he can live in the forest for six months at a time without food, and he knows of a secret tribe of only women where he is their God. All we know is, he's call the Styx!" - TazzieRob
