Karma Sucks
on: November 11, 2016, 06:33:12 PM
Back in the summer, I loaned my Super Tool 300 to a guy that was helping my grandfather and I work on fences.   I had to leave early for driving school, and forgot to collect it before I left.   He promptly returned it broke.  Ever since then, my thoughts about the situation have been "what kind of moron applies that much force"?   Well, today I just bought a Squirt PS4 and was using it to bend a thin wire coathanger.  And guess what, I broke the pliers.   Now, I feel like a moron.  I mean, the pliers didn't even flex, my normal signal to stop.

Will warranty cover my screw up?   I know they fixed my ST300.

They'll repair/replace it, no questions asked.  Part of why I am a loyal Leatherman user.

Sounds like a weak spot in the casting if you weren't exerting a tremendous amount of force  LM will cover that as it sounds more like a defect and probably was the same case with the ST 300 jaws  :D

Still bad when it happens though :-\
