When I first came to MTO I like many were amazing at see what Metro and Evil and others did to these tools.  Breezy did a great job as well.
Just some of the awesome mods from these guys.
Metros Commander http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,41159.0.html
Evil OHO scissors http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,20667.0.html
Breezy12 mini surge http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,51718.0.html

I have been looking at the my Wave and thinking the saw and file should be on the same side.  Then this killer tool was produced http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,70364.0.html

I was actually thinking it could be done on opposite pivots.  That would open the other side of the tool for another tool.

Nice summary post Aloha007.
I'm getting ready to mod a Wave so it was great to follow all your links.
I'm still on the fence about whether to use Wingman or SAK scissors.
Are the Wingman one's that bad?

Good stuff, I always liked the way they did the Wave though — both plain and serrated blades are right hand OHO — which is not how they did it on the OHT! :twak:
May it be as the Pattern has chosen.

I don't know what the consensus is regarding the two scissors.  I can tell you I really like the SAK ones a lot.  I liked them so much so that I wasn't willing to try Wingman scissors.

Since the scales on the Charge are removable, it's easier to mod. The scales can be trimmed for additional space in the external tool bays.

Just my 2 cents.

I've been thinking of doing similar mods to my Charge, but I think it will be more difficult if not impossible machining inside the bays. I'm sure a pen, toothpick, Ferro rod and tweezers could be added to a Wave without too much effort.

Important point right there.

In addition, anything that works for the Wave works for the Signal

I have a wave and am planning to mod it in the future... nothing fancy like the pro's here... just tool swaps...

I hear the signal plier head fits just right... from what i've read, rebar plier head implant needs some adjusting...

This is something that LM could probably do: standardize the tool dimensions... This can also work in their favor production wise...

I have not done the plier head swap just yet.  Partly cause I don't have a spare Rebar plier and partly if I'm being honest, I don't really cut much with my wire cutters.

Hopefully someone who has more expertise can weigh in.

If only there were loose parts available... buy what you need instead of buying the whole tool... Then there would be no need for me to save up on a Charge TTi and Signal... hahaha...

In the meantime, got a ratchet screw driver... seen some youtube videos on this mod... Think I'll try this one out... also got a spare vic awl...

No Problem, I was thinking the exact same thing you were when I stumbled across that thread (and this forum).  I just bought my own S30V  (Charge) knife blade for my Wave.  So far, he's a very nice guy, and very easy to work with.  Not sure on shipping times though, he's in Russia so it could be a week or 2.

Shipping time is mostly depending on customs in the destination country. And yes, Dimitry is a good guy did you see he also has keys to take the Rebar apart? :salute:
