No no, a Leatherman SideClip is an entire multitool. It is the same size as an original PST, except thinner, and it has a pocket clip. The SideClip has been retired since 2004, and has become hard to find and quite pricey on eBay. Here's a couple pics from Def's review:

I got a new LM Sideclip  :P :P , but Mikko if you change your mind (go insane) I will happily adopt your SOG ToolClip or Micro ToolClip I am not fussy  :D :D. My SOG Toolclip should have arrived a couple of days ago from the US  :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh.BTW I think the level of lameness is quite amazing.

I'm in. If I get it thou the whole thing is going to a buddy who's going to spend a year and half in new zealand without his basement full of tools. He'll be doing marine biology there all over the place so outdoor kit should come in very handy.

The notch is for the Tool Adapter. There's a corresponding lug that matches it.

I don't want it.  Unless you can remove the side clip from the Sideclip and provide some sort of sheath.    :think:

Thanks guys for the welcome.   I know I'm new here, but I've been lurking for quite a while, and I've been an EDC nut a long time before I found MT.org.

Anyhow, that was my attempt at the "lamest" post.

I just bought a new Surge, and have a long-winded list of observations, kudos, and complaints.  I'll be posting it soon, along with a formal introduction.  I am a design engineer with my own prototype machine shop, and you can believe I will be hanging out in the Modder section in the future.
